Sheriff Sam Craig, Lawrence County Sheriff Department
-No new business.
-Bob Brown asked who had authority when it comes to people burning illegally. Sam and Val advised that IDEM has the final say when it comes to illegal burns, not the sheriff's department. Unless a specific county ordinance is passed, the sheriff's department cannot enforce any laws regarding illegal burning.
-Brought up some questions and information about the repeated runs to Fibertech.

Valerie Lucharer, Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency
-Talked about the reorganization meeting that occured for the Search & Rescue team and passed out forms for those who were interested.
-On the 23rd and 24th of September, District 8 has been invited to participate in an exercise to take place at the Muskatatuck Training Facility. If you are interested, contact Val for more information.
-Brought up some items about our new response agreement. In our agreement, it allows for us to bill for FEMA declared disasters, but Val advised that if we do not already have a history of billing other departments for mutual aid services, that our requests for the federal money will most likely be denied. She also brought up that our agreement states that we will conduct training to be familiar with each other's equipment and apparatus.
-Brought up about the use of a Critical Incident Debriefing after the fatal wreck on Mitchell Road.

Carla McCain, Rural Metro Ambulance Service
-New management for Rural/Metro for this region. Dispatch being moved to IU Health Bedford is being considered again.

Jack Zeeks, IVFA Past President
-IVFA State Convention is being held in Munice June 13-15.

Bob Brown, LCFA Co-Chairman
-Advised that we may want to look at doing something to let everyone know about what dry hydrants are in everyone's areas. Shawswick responded to Pleasant Run and encountered a dry hydrant that had different sized fittings than what Shawswick carries.
-Jason Lewis stepped down as the Event's Commitee Chairman. Micah Keith nominated L.D. Martin to chair the commitee. Kyle Knight seconded. L.D. Martin elected as the new Event's Commitee Chairman.
