Meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence.
Sam Craig attended long enough to see if anyone had any questions or concerns.
He was asked about the ambulance donation mentioned at the last meeting. He said this is still up in the air but should know something before our next meeting. He also asked if we would prefer the use of a 4-wheeler or something more like a gator for use during the 4-H fair and plans to make some calls and help us get one for the week.
Air Evac issue: Sam and Val would like to have another discussion with Dunn and BRMC about this. Bob Brown has talked to Rodney about setting possible criteria. Bob Atkins at BRMC would like another meeting to see what's going on in general with a helicopter request. Steve, Val and the ambulance directors need to set up a meeting, and Sam would like to be notified so he can attend if possible.
Financial report from the April statement showed $1851.96 in savings and $50 in checking.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

Bob Brown has called Roots RV to see about a camper again for this year. Steve says Pleasant Run might be getting a FEMA camper and it can be used if available, but would need to be disinfected before it can be used.
NIMS 300 ICS Training will be offered in August with openings for 25 people. This training is for officers and not needed for all members.
Connie Kinder of BRMC is planning a disaster drill in the county Thursday the 28th from 5-6pm. This will include county fire, EMS, and police. An e-mail was sent out earlier this month asking for suggestions for a realistic drill and more details will be forwarded as they become available. This is a full scale, hands on exercise and will show where we all need work for training. In preparation for the drill there will be planning meetings on Monday June 18th and again June 25th, both at 8:30 am at the Sheriff's Department.
Val says the LEPC has been invited to participate in an exercise this fall with Orange County, but hasn't accepted the invitation.
Danny tried to get more information for training for a USAR team. There wasn't time to try to get a FEMA grant for this, so other forms of funding need to be looked into. Possibly the Fireman's Heritage Fund or Indiana Department of Homeland Security Grant. A task force planning meeting will be held June 7th at Bloomington Township and she suggested Danny attend this for information.
I've sent out an e-mail asking for information from other departments about any members who are interested that have specialized training. I have a list started and will update it as more information is submitted. Danny has also suggested a simplified form be suggested for county dispatch to cut down on radio traffic and excess information. He was asked to make a sample form and present it at the next meeting.
